Rejuvenate
Re-inspire
with Brenton Cheng and Jennifer Chien

Friday, January 1, 7-10pm
Saturday, January 2. 10am-6pm
Sunday, January 3, 10am-6pm

Rejuvenate and re-inspire your dancing body in the New Year with renowned performers Jennifer Chien and Brenton Cheng. This 3-day intensive will focus on shifting physical states, deepening into sensation, and refining both solo and ensemble awareness. Explore scores as frameworks for dancing and witnessing, build structures to play in and on, and practice spontaneous composition.

Prerequisite: This intensive is not for total beginners. In order to participate, you should already feel comfortable coming to a jam and initiating and ending contact dances. For information on upcoming local classes and jams that can help prepare beginning contact improvisers for this intensive, please email contact@ciresearchforum.org.

2. Teacher App WCCIF 2010
Deadlines: App due Dec 1 2009. Teacher notification out Jan 1 2010 and coordinate it with having scholarship apps and the schedule out at that same time.
Deadlines: Raj will have App done by Tues NOV 3rd.
Kim will send teacher spam on Tues NOV 3.
Ali will have Raj send link to Kim to look at Tues NOV 3 for Clarity in instructions.
"Mixed Ability" designation is being replaced with "Disabled/Non-disabled."
Ali will add this phrase to the Teacher App instructions:
"Disabled dancers are welcome and encouraged to attend ANY classes of interest on the schedule. Classes labeled Disabled/Non-disabled are taught by teachers specifically prepared to adapt material and otherwise accomodate disabled dancers."

3. Marketing through Driving Dialogue:
CIRF recommends DV8. What are other ways we can expand our audience cross-discipline?
Frantic Assembly is a physical theater from Europe Kim likes.
*Ongoing/keep in mind for curation: how can CIRF provoke dialogue that will serve as marketing for our programming.. And, what else can we do besides teach workshops?
Merchandise:

- Journal, or regular contribution to CQ, or Oberlin's Journal.
*Open ended to be brainstormed in Nov/Dec: other sources of revenue.

5. CounterPULSE booking for Spring: pick NOW what activities/pricing will be to submit dates to CounterPULSE to reserve space for show. Also, Studio Valencia for workshops?
