WCCIF Teachers and Classes
Hi!
Early registration starts today, April 30th, and I want to promote WCCIF to my students. It would help if they could see who is teaching this year and a description of classes. A complete schedule would be even better. Is any of that available for them to see and I've just missed it?
Please advise. Thanks and see you in July!

Julia's Community Involvement Question
Community Involvement includes volunteering, being a student Work exchanger for a conference/retreat/intensive, helping run a regular class or jam in your home area or as a guest away from home. CIRF wants to see your event production skills, and your willingness to contribute to the whole of making events happen that support CI teaching, learning, and practice. So, anywhere in the world you've done this work should be included as a bullet-point in total your Community Involvement list of bullet-points.
Julia, use Add New Comment
Hey there, Julia,
I noticed you used the "reply" link, so your comment fell under the previous person's comment. Instead, use the "Add new comment" link
just under the top of the page. This way your question lands on the top of the pile, at the top of this page, instead of somewhere in the middle of the stack. (The reading order of the page is comments on top are the most recent.)
Activity description
Hi Ali,
When I look at an event I proposed, I see the long description only, not the short one.
Thanks

Qualifications & Bio answers
Hi Edo,
Great questions, I'll send answers to your email as well.
Facilitating Jams (whether for-profit or non-profit) counts towards the 3 years of
regional community involvement required, but not as CI Teaching experience.
The 3 or more years of Teaching experience is CIRF's primary prerequisite.
The bio should be professional, and read as a descriptive paragraph.
It should NOT include that the teacher loves potluck suppers or has a kitten at home.
And actually, the system will cut off the last character in our online scheduler, so the only
one who will be able to read your saved, excessive Bio will be you.
Keep in mind that hundreds of students will be reading your Bio to decide if they
wish to take your class. It is a opportunity for you to both shine to the public, and to
frankly, market yourself: your approach, your background, your experience, your perspective.
With that in mind, highlight your best and in about 4 sentences, get to the point.
community involvement
Hello Ali,
Should I list only events that I've been involved to in my community (Lithuania) or other communities as well? (Latvia and other neighbour countries, and further ones?)
Thanks,
Julia
Community Involvement field
Does facilitating for-profit CI jams count?
Filling in the Bio field
Hi,
Should the bio field be phrased as "Born in Israel, Edo has been..." or as a dry list of highlights? The first is very hard to do with 60 words limit. Plus, the system did not stop me from submitting more.
Thanks
Edo
Photo uploading
Hi Ali,
I tried uploading a photo withing the Application 2009, but I am not sure if it worked.
Thanks,

The error message: Why?
Hi applicants, if you're getting this error message when you try to click SAVE on your application:
--------------
Sorry. A non-recoverable error has occurred.
The site administrator needs to enter a valid 'FROM Email Address' in Administer CiviCRM » Configure » Domain Information. The email address used may need to be a valid mail account with your email service provider.
Return to home page.

Don't worry, we're fixing it! Here's what you need to know:
1. It doesn't affect your data being saved. Click your back button in your browser, and then click the View button next to your name. (This allows you to see your account in View mode instead of Edit mode).
You will see your Contact info (address, phone number) at the top.
Scroll down a bit, and below your contact info you'll see your completed "Applicant 2009" info.
You'll see next to each category of the application, the text you've saved.
If its blank, please email or call tech support ASAP so I can help you further!

Logout Button
Hello,
I am looking for the logout button and cannot find it. Or do I not need to logout? Just quit the browser and all will be well?
Andrew
wccif.org/logout
We suppressed logout so that the uninitiated wouldn't have to keep remembering their username/password while reading topics in, perhaps, multiple sittings. To logout, type in the URL address field:
wccif.org/logout
then hit return. Voila, you'll be logged out. Also, yes, if you quit your browser you're fine too.
In that case, when you go to wccif.org next, it will remember you (because of the cookie saved in your browser), and you'll see your Username without having
to log back in. Either way is fine.
